TURN 6:

Tissot versus Kempt melee takes another round, but Jamin also attacks the Highlanders of Kempt. Jamin’s Legers attack the 95th (removing Highlanders flank support). This give Tissot the support advantage, as well as Kempts unit starting Shaken. The resulting melee breaks the shaken unit of Kempt (2 VPs), the only supporting unit also unfortunately breaks (2 VPs). The Highlanders (with only a +1 support the Belgian line) lose their melee and retire Disordered and wounded – but not shaken. The 95th and the Legers lock into melee as a hold for next turn.
French 12 VPs, Allies 8 VPs.
Brunswick had taken his own tack to send the small units Avant Guard and Jagers, and lancers out to screen Van Merlin’s horse artillery, two units of line plan to face off J. Bonaparte, and two units of lights to support 95th in the woods. But Brunswick fails in his orders and his brigade stalls.

Bachelu’s Campi brigade is held by Vinke! The new line unit of Vinke rolled for Freshly Raised and pass.
Campi’s attack only has +2 supports, but Vinke has +3.

Alten orders first to get one KGL Brigade to stop J. Bonaparte in his tracks. He must go first as Headstrong (same as Ney) orders his men one move forward. But rolls a blunder! Then a 6 on the blunder table which causes the KGL division to do a 2 move charge. A lucky fluke! Alten’s artillery and infantry fire are withering on J. Bonaparte’s unit. Soy’s Brigade loses a unit (2 VPs).
French 12 VPs, Allies 10VPs.

A unit of Pack and artillery send one of Campi’s battalions out of the battle (2 VPs). Vinke holds the rest of Campi’s units to a draw. Out of the picture Vinke’s foot artillery hit Wathiez’s Horse artillery forcing a brake test and they are removed (2 Vps). The small unit of Highlanders move from the north sector of Quatre Bras to the Southern sector.
French 12 VPs, Allies 14 VPs.

Battlefield after turn 6. Wellington reminds Brunswick of his orders and new support comes from the infantry on the West of Quatre Bras, and the cavalry move to protect the East side.
TURN 7:

The French Tissot and artillery get another Disorder and hits on Bylandt’s Jagers in Gemioncourt. The Jagers are Disordered and shaken with excess hits, roll a beak test and pass with a 7+. In ACVC house rules a result of a 5, 6 will force the Jagers out!
The battle between Foy and Bylandt / Kempt concludes as the large Belgian unit is attacked by Jamin and destroyed (2.5 VPs as a large unit), and the 95th who were supporting break (2 VPs). This is a disaster for the Allies as Bylandt is now a broken Brigade. Kempt is also a broken brigade. With ACVC house rules a Brigade only breaks after more than 50% is broken or shaken, the Brigade must make one move back but units can then be rallied. A disordered unit that moves back can still remove a Disordered marker, and a unit in a BUA or in square can hold their position. So Kempt’s Highlanders, and Bylandt’s Jagers both make 1 move back.
Campi’s attack on Vinke’s line finally breaks them (2 VPs), supports all pass their break test.
French 18.5 VPs, Allies 14 VPs.

Foy’s brigade of Jamin line and Leger fail to activate and are stuck in the woods, the Brunswick lights move in to protect the woods. J. Bonaparte takes on Brunswick and the KGL.

Brunswick cavalry with Van Merlin protect the left against Pire, and support Vinke, Pack gets a flank attack on a Campi unit (so it cannot get supports) but this results in a draw allowing the unit to turn to face next turn.

The Brunswick forces with the KGL tear into J. Bonaparte – the foot artillery laying on blistering fire with Shrapnel shots 3D6 with 6, 6, 6. A unit of J. Boneparte’s breaks – Soy loses another battalion (2 VPs). The Brunswick Lights fortify the woods while the line go up to retrieve Kempts position. Kempt and Bylandt battalions make another move back – broken!
French 18.5 VPs, Allies 16 VPs.
