I'll give 'em a go. Don't have facilities for printing at the moment but I'll have a look at them on line. Or could you/someone print me off a copy?

Certainly a valid point as many surfers who view this website are youngsters!

I've tidied up the said comment, and quote as well ... Admin

Impressive set of models! Great detail, plenty of choice, well priced with tons of scope to use in a wide range of other games. I personally luv my Uruk-Hai (GW - LoTr models) and could create a new army to play the Kings of War! ... Walts

I see in the rules that you can mix and match different unit from different lists as long as you stick the the rules,

That enemies cant be in the same army and evil units cant be in the same army as good units

Yep, the Elves and Dwarrows are Good, the humans are Neutral....and everybody else is Evil.

Which means you can mix in a lot of different races on each side.

I have been following this company for a little while, the only thing that put me off was finding players. They really make gw's prices stand out as the rip off they can be, mantic will give you around 50 figures for 40 squid while gw will give you 5 for 28. madness.

The prices look good, its just the thought of painting all those minis. surprised sad cry

We have Wallethammer/ LotR / D&D minis / Historical armies at the club.

No Mantic armies yet.........but the army lists are quite generic, so anything can be used.

And if the rules are any good, who knows ???

Well you can use the Warhammer models for Kings of War and vice versa, unless you play in a tournament etc. And so the armies are all very similar except for perhaps the abysmal dwarfs although gw dd used to do chaos dwarfs as i have a small unit of them on my shelf.

Had a go with the KoW rules last week.

Confrontation Wolfen army against Tom's dark elves and my Beastmen army
(battle masters beastmen /+ D&D minis / + Mage Knight minis / + toy dragon)

The rules are easy and we had time to play (but not finish) another game between me and Tom.

I might drop FoG rules altogether for fantasy games. unsure

I must admit, KoW is fast, easy and highly enjoyable, It's flexible enough to allow any fantasy army to be played. The buckets of dice needed is the only little drawback but that a minor point.
