Spoke to Curtis last weekend and he asked regards Static. We had a 10% deal off stuff when we show the membership cards. Now there is a new owner with the sad passing of the previous owner. We may have to link back with them again. I would have thought with our amazing website and around 40 members we have a good bargaining position. But what if we offered advertising space on the banner?
We do need someone who frequents Glasgow to pop in and have a chat with them.
The banner would be an ideal place to drum up some interest for Static Games (www.staticgames.co.uk) and securing the 10% discount, but who goes there? I've never been, since eBay arrived, so we need someone who visits the shop to barter a deal ... Walts

Met with the guys in Static yesterday - they are fine to offer a 10% discount on items costing £10 or more not already on sale. They would also offer to help with stuff for the club - terrain etc. Members need to have a valid membership card. Better discounts could be offered depending on order.
They do not have a banner as yet but there website is about to undergo a change in the near future.
He recommended a link to their Facebook page Static Games that updates latest offerings and deals they are doing.
No - not corporate. We are not turning to the Dark (GW) side. Just if we buy stuff from them they recognise the buying power of an established club. Who doesn't want to get a better deal when buying stuff? And we are not tied to just buying with them.
