Red Blok Horde

So after talking with Che about fielding a Red Blok Horde Company.

This is my take on it.... Supra Company 3000 AP (page 23)

Platoon 1
6 Dragonov / 2 ECM / 1 sniper / Captain = 235 AP

6 Spetznaz / 2 medics / 1 RPG / 1 Sarge......= 185 AP

8 Krasny Soldaty / 2 medics / 1 grenade launcher = 150 AP

8 Krasny Soldaty / 2 mechanics / 1 grenade launcher = 150 AP

1 Nakolvany Type 1 AFV. ( 2 AT Gauss and extra frame point) = 200 AP

Platoon 2
6 Dragonov / 2 ECM / 1 sniper / 1 sarge = 185 AP

6 Spetznaz / 2 medics / 1 RPG ..................= 175 AP

8 Krasny Soldaty / 2 medics / 1 grenade launcher = 150 AP

8 Krasny Soldaty / 2 mechanics / 1 grenade launcher = 150 AP

1 Nakolvany Type 1 AFV. ( 2 AT Gauss and extra frame point) = 200 AP

Platoon 3
6 Dragonov / 2 ECM / 1 sniper / sarge = 185 AP

6 Spetznaz / 2 medics / 1 RPG ..................= 175 AP

8 Krasny Soldaty / 2 medics / 1 grenade launcher = 150 AP

8 Krasny Soldaty / 2 mechanics / 1 grenade launcher = 150 AP

1 Bashkir Type 2 Helicopter......................................225 AP

Platoon 4
6 Dragonov / 2 ECM / 1 sniper / 1 sarge = 185 AP

8 RPG Soldaty / 2 combat engineers / 1 M gauss = 150 AP


Notes

98 infantry !!!

8 ECM / 2 combat engineers / 12 medics / 6 Mechanics / 4 snipers / 3 RPG / 6 grenade launchers.

2 Type I AFV

1 helicopter.

What do you think ?

Could anyone get more infantry in a 3000 AP Company ???

Aye,............

Type II Infantry
Type II Infantry
Type I / II / III Soldier
Type I /II Soldier
Type I / II / III AFV

So its all by the book. (except for the Bashkir...but that could be replaced by another type I strider. wink )

If using this list, you left the 3 AFV and a unit of Krasny in reserve. (775 AP ....should be 750+ AP, (quarter of 3000 AP))

This would give the RB player 13 units totalling 90 infantry on Turn 1.

Scary huh ????.......................a bit light on anti-tank though !!!!

I think pavlov and myself would have to join forces on this one. I certainly don't have all the figures. Mind you I haven't checked

I've just checked and I could field the number of figures but it wouldn't look pretty. A lot of substitution would be needed and that only means confusion wacko

How many LP's would this horde have?

How does the horde deal with Leadership Points?

Maybe bigger units (6 >>> 8's, 8 >>> 10's?) with Officers to try and use what little LPs they would have?

If the Captain is used, he has 5 LP + 13 LP (for number of units) = 18 LP

Only the 4 Dragonovs squads (and 1 Spetznaz) have officers.

If they are all on the map then this leaves 8 LP for activation of the remaining 8 units.

Which gives 10 LP for orders ( overwatch / take cover / etc )

That might be enough as not all units will be in sight, so dont need take cover.

And a few will be in the open....so dont need take cover either.

And as Sniper ability does not work on Overwatch, its no big deal.

And 8 ECM from the Dragonovs will hurt the opponent !

Its lack of anti-tank that is the main problem for this build.

That and the faction disadvantage : a disorganised unit is eliminated immediately.

So no chance to rally a unit by paying 2 LP...it just comes off !...............Nasty.

I think I would give flamers to the Spetznats. As someone once pointed out I hate enemy infantry. Yeah, yeah I know it would cut down the anti tank capability but how many times has any enemy armour been hit by infantry rocket launchers?(

The only reason i picked the RPG for the Spetznaz is they get it for free....all the other infantry have to pay extra for AT weapons.

If you dont have any RPG then its certain you wont do any damage....thats a fact your enemy can use to his advantage. sad

Hmmmn ????......you would have to buy more AFV to fill the slots ?????..........will have a look at this..........

Is the Supra faction disadvantage that much of a problem with so many infantry units ?.........not sure.......playtesting required perhaps ?...

Don't think it's free, strictly speaking. Spetsnatz have the extra cost built in, I think. Not that it's important, but interesting. Same goes for the flamers, that's built in too.

Here is another list, its now down to three platoons, to save buying an AFV.

There are less soldiers.....86 ( plus 3 Med tech smile )

A lot more RPG, and 12 man units ................as i think the bigger units could be the best way to maximise the Supra advantage.

Would be good if we had a 4th player. ( UNA club army ?)

Then could do a 4 player or two 2 player games.

3 player would be pants, cos if someone gets stuck in the middle ....he would get wiped out.
