To all our magic players, some of us are thinking of running a booster draft tourney on the Sunday of the pre-release of m14 or on the Sunday after its official release
at the moment we have 3 players
those up for it are Aiden, Kieran and myself
the plan is we all chip in for a box of boosters between us which works out at/or should work out at £14 per player if we get the 6
from there everybody gets 4 boosters each and then we begin the drafting madness
its going to be a 3 round tourney, with the games being best out of 3
it will be normal games nothing fancy
a booster box contains 36 boosters with 24 use up the other 12 get used as prizes,
6th and 5th will get 1 each
4th and 3rd will get 2 each
2nd and 1st will get 3 each

that's great keir,
don't worry Craig its going to happen at the Sunday club on ether the 13th of July or 21st of July,
and you've got a good chance at any place since we will at be the same level play.

If its the 21st ill be able to play, and should have my deck builder too, but boosters are always good. But if it will happen on the 13thi think ill still be on holiday.

In a draft tourney your only allowed to use what is in the booster packs that you are given at the start, so you will not be able to add any thing from your toolkit except basic land.
and regarding the 13th are going on holiday or are you talking about the summer holidays from school

Also I meant it the other way around about the boosters adding to the builder, I've been reading up the stuff on the magic site

When Duncan orders his stuff he puts it up on the holiday page at discount price, the booster boxes have always been put up at £84 instead of £90.
so when he puts up the notice we ask him to order us a box

depends o wither we are playing strict tournament rules or not
besides you will have to learn how to build decks anyway so why not in a tournament

we could always spend a couple of hours a week or two before the actual tournament and just have practice deck days aka grab a pile of random cards and see what you can make from it. At least that means that inexperienced deck builders(i.e. Craig) and people that are a bit rusty at building decks from random(probably quite a few of us) can get back into the rhythm of it.
How does that sound to everyone
