well............after our recent return to playing Space Crusade......

it tweaked my interest again in the 40K universe.

And the SM in Space Crusade are just not anything like they are in the books/novels.

And thats the type of SM that would be fun to play....or play against.

Found this on the web....some nutter was going to play this for real !!!

"Hey guys so i have agreed to a 1500Pts battle against my friend who is using Movie Marines for those of you who dont know they are from a white dwarf of what marines stats should be like from what they are predicted like in movies there stat line it

WS 5 / BS 5 / S6 / T6/ W2/ I5 / A3/ LD 9 / SV 3++ ( inv 3+ )

so basically he has ten marines including a sergent which WS 9 BS 5 S 6 T 6 W 4 I 6 A 5 LD 10 SV 3++

he also has a missile launcher and the weapons are much stronger than normal a bolter being 36" range S 6 AP 4 Assault 4 Rending and a missile launcher is pretty much S 10 AP 1 Heavy 2

all movie marines also have a 3+ invulnerable save which if they fail there regular save they can also take unles its an AP 2 weapon etc
so with that in mind i have come up with this list to battle him what do you think"

Had a go at this today. surprised

100 cultists vs 5 Space Marines......fun game. cool

Next week, Me and Che @ 750 points each (Chaos) vs. Ian and Stephen ( also 750 points each )

Maelstrom mission ! i am making up a deck of cards for this. smile

Interesting game today.

Maelstrom mission cleanse and control....1500 Tau unbound (3 HQs with crisis suits + shield drones / 3 Hammerhead / 1 x 2 Broadsides + missile drones and shield drones / Pathfinders ) Super cheesy list which beat the MSM 10 points to 8.

Entertaining game. dry

MSM had 2 sargeants, 1 missile launcher , 1 Rhino (6 hull points) + 7 Space Marines + 2 stunt doubles (1500 points)

Any comments from those who played today ????
