Battle of Nach Stalingrad The Farm scenario 6, Little Wars TV

This is the setup out before the actual game to get an idea of the deployment areas.
The terrain map was designed on Inkarnate and printed on a vinyl fabric as 4’ x 4’ Flag from Temu. Terrain map basic layout courtesy of Little Wars TV – Nach Stalingrad scenario with the FFofT34s rule adaption.
I find with 10mm figures the 2D maps are the easiest to manoeuvre bases. Getting them printed on Temu reduces the cost considerably and allows for quick setup and easy storage. I have passed the other map designs to Little Wars TV for you to get a free JPEG download.
The specific Scenario details can be found in the Nach Stalingrad free download off of Little Wars TV, this one is only available to subscribers. In a quick synopsis the Germans have 8 turns to get the Russians out of the Farm and get to one of the road exits the North or East (shown by the black arrow). The Russian force intends to keep the Farm and block the Germans trying to take a road exit. Victory condition points marked with green stars.

As we were playing this game in the evening 7pm to 10pm, and this was a school night. We had to call a halt to the game. With the loss of the German armour the 39th tank Brigade it was felt they did not have enough power to take the Farm plus the infantry only move 4”, and the Russian 26th tank Brigade have the farm and could mop up the remaining German infantry in the last turn.
In post battle analysis this was a scenario where the Germans had it all to do. They would win by taking the farm. But without artillery, and the Russian artillery taking out the Pnz IV so early on made the task near impossible. The Russian dice – lots of 6s carried the day.
It was a Russian victory. The position at Verkhne Kumsky holds out for one more day. The Germans fail to reach the Myshkova.
End of Game
